Carrer Day Info.

Robert is a seventh grade student who has special interests and abilities in school. He described his grades as average in math, above average in science, above average in reading, and above average in social studies. He seems to have several areas of interest. His primary interest appears to be in fine arts. He seems to like color, texture, and creating products, by drawing, painting, or participating in set and costume design, or graphic layouts. He may also be interested in photography.

Robert's second area of interest appears to be in athletics. He seems to like physical activity and may be interested in learning about sports, nutrition, physical therapy, or sports medicine.

Robert's third area of interest appears to be in video/photography, as he seems to enjoy photography, making a movie, or creating a video.

Robert also has specific preferred instructional styles. Learning or instructional styles are the ways students like to learn and the strategies parents and teachers use to help them learn. Robert has very clearly defined learning preferences. His preferred instructional style is through technology that helps him to learn by using various interactive multi-media devices and Internet content. His second choice of learning style is independent study in a topic of choice. Although he does like working independently, Robert may be interested in sharing some responsibilities for this project with a small group of other interested students. It may be necessary for his teachers or other adults to help him with this independent work, as the final work may result in an advanced product, such as an experiment, a video, a service, a technology product such as a powerpoint, or an oral presentation. Robert also enjoys simulations that help him to learn content and skills through role-playing people or events. Robert also likes acting, or pretending to be a character, and may like to study history by participating in simulations. For example, he may want to role-play Thomas Jefferson in the signing of the Declaration of Independence or Eleanor Roosevelt during World War II.

Robert also has a preferred product style. That is, he has certain kinds of products that he likes to complete. His first product choice is artistic as he likes to draw, paint, or sculpt, and may also enjoy choosing colors and working with design or texture. His second choice of product style is hands-on, as he enjoys working on things with his hands, and/or likes building, constructing, and designing things. Robert's third choice of product style is service, as he likes to provide assistance to individuals or groups in his community. Robert may also want to lead a group of students to do something that provides help to others in need.

MONSTER 2

Robert mattei
Class 702
Ms. Bentley
April 27, 2009

Do you feel racism still exists?
Yes, I still think Racism still exists, because every day people call Black, people the
''N'' word and they still talk about the way people look just because they have a different skin color.
In what ways does racism exists?
Racism exists, by the way people uses foul language such as the ''N'' word, the
''C'' word and the other types of words.
Have you ever experienced racism?
A couple of times just of the way I look but I don't care because I know that I am going
to change in the future.
In what ways have you experienced racism?
Just the way I look and by the way they talk to me by calling me names but I don't pay attention to it because I just egnore them.
Does Steve Harmon experience Racism?
Yes, because O'Brien Just came out of no where and said but, ''Your Black, Your Young and You are in a Trial''.

Do you think there is racism in our country's court system?
Yes, because there are still people who call other people the ''N'' word and other words they come up with.
Can a minority get a fair trial? Why or why not?
Sure, if they can belive in there self and if they can give people another chance.
Do you think Steve Harmon will get a fair trial? Why? Why Not?
Yes, but people don't think that he should because just of an accitdent of shooting a person.
How do you think O'Brien feels about the Jury they selected for Steve's trail?
He felt disappointed, because O'Brien wanted Steve to lose the Court and he thought that people were helping Steve when he did a bad thing. Also he never liked Steve when the first time he came.

Why do you feel some people think that our country's court systems are racist?
I also agree because they are just blaming every thing on Black people when the white people do worser things then Black people.
Why do you feel there are more black men in jail than college?
I feel disappointed because instead of the black men following there dreams in be coming something useful they just waist there time doing bad things in the street.

Proportions

Robert Mattei
Class 702
Ms. Sa
April 03 - 2009

Aim: How do we solve proportions by using cross products?

Explain - The Term cross product helps me better because I just need to cross
multiply, the numbers. Also you can look at the ratio that is given in
your expression for an example. Use the ratio and make that the
denominator of the proportion and cross multiply.

6 4
----- , -----
12 6

This is an example of an proportion expression. Now, Cross Multiply !

Describe - 2 x
----- = ------- 2x = 36, x = 18
3 12

Its wrong its not suppose to be 36 it is suppose to be 24 not 36.
Then when you put 24 you will get the right answer.

Show - 6 2
------ ---------
45 15

6 • 15 = 90

2 • 45 = 90

The equation is Proportional because the answer is the same,
and if the answer is the same it is Proportional. But, if the answer
are not the same they are Non-Proportional.
